Doyles Room just recently moved to the Yatahay Network that is home for among others True Poker. There was a lot of issues with the software, not resizeable tables for example and today Yatahay launches their brand new platform.Customer reviews are very positive so far but it’s impossible to tell if that is because of the difference compared to before or actual quality of the client. No doubt though, this is the right moment for Doyles Room and True Poker to get a new software as the major competitors dropped out of the US market on Black Friday.

You noticed of course that a number of big Poker Rooms just disappeared but did you know that they are far from all of the poker rooms out there accepting US Players?
Top Pick
The Top Pick Right now is Truepoker.com - they are getting a big chunk of the players from Full Tilt and Poker Stars. If you did enjoy playing poker on either of these bigger rooms True Poker and the Yatahay Network is where you want to go as it seems most players are ending up there. Most Poker Rooms don’t offer poker to US players as you might know and that’s the reason that just Poker Stars, Absolute, Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt Poker got busted.
True Poker
True Poker on the other hand do offer US poker and keeps doing it. They’ve been around longer than any of the other rooms and they are stable. My recommendation definately goes for trying True Poker out.

Punta Cana Poker Classic took place last week in Punta Cana and to be honest, it’s the best place I’ve ever played a tournament. The Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana is definately something extra. With $200.000 in the pot and the most beautiful hotel in the world the Punta Cana Poker Classic is already a Classic. A lot of celebrities could be spotted among them Doyle Brunson and the rest of the Brunsons. Winner, Canadian Peter Cross, walked away with about 65.000 something he seemed pretty pleased with as it was his biggest win so far.All in all the tournament was among the best I’ve ever played, there was some problems with local dealers but the luxury of the venue makes that almost disappear.

A brand new actor is visible on the poker stage, Point Poker has reached the entreance. Might there really be room for yet another poker room in an already crowded market?
Point Poker is an Entraction skin and we have of course seen a lot of those lately, can you actually do something unique with a skin in the most populated network on the net? Well, in my view Point Poker manages to give a little extra. They offer Betting and Casino-game, ok, not really breath taking. What they do offer that might make you inhale a bit extra is taht they have incredible Rake Races and Massive bonuses. If you’re a decent player you know what that means, easy money on their way to your hungry hands. Give it a try.

Bwin launched thier new client yesterday and it’s not without trouble, a lot of downtime for emergency fixes is one of the things that bother bwin and ongame players but there are other things to complain about as well.
One thing that a lot of the players complain about is the time the client waits while showing the winning hand. For a beginner this might be a feature but for a more experienced player there is no doubt that this is annoying. All in all my view on the new bwin poker is that overall it is a big upgrade from the last version though and we have to accept problems getting it up and running because in all big developement projects this happen.

The Pokeriot editors just came from an exclusive preview of MyPokerBlog.com, a blogging plattform specialized on poker. Ok, there are lots of poker blog platforms but this one is another thing. Instead of just taking an ordinare blog platform and naming it pokerblog the guys and girls behind MyPokerBlog actually made something different. Posting hands for example is super easy, you do it in the hand history section instead of having to glue it in your ordinary blog posts. Functions as bankroll tracking has been added and a lot more poker specific features.Sadly MyPokerBlog is not up and running yet but will be within a month, until then you will have to take our word for it, this will be a kick as poker blog platform.

We don’t usually write about online casinos on Pokeriot.com but as I ran in to something that was completely new to me I really wanted to share it. I’m talking about Buzzluck.com, an online casino offering a lot more than just the green black jack table or the spinning auto slots. Buzzluck is really more of an experience.
Buzzluck is a brand new online casino and from how it looks poker rooms could learn a lot from the guys behind the site. One thing that is a bit strange is that the whole site is built in Flash 10 which forces you to download the last update from Adobe if you haven’t already installed it on your computer. I guess the reason for this is that they actually need a lot of functionality as the site aspires to be much more than just an online casino.
One of the things that is fantastic with Buzzluck is the Live Lounge, they actually send live TV in your casino client and it’s not some random stuff they picked up but their own TV-channel called Live Lounge. The content is not all casino related but it’s all interesting, they do gadget reviews, top ten youtube clips and so on. Instead of just staring at the spinning autoslots you can actually look at interesting TV and just let them spin by themselves.
What about the games then? Buzzluck offers most of the common games that you expect a casino to have; Roulette, Video Poker, Craps, Black Jack and Slots. There are a lot of different variants of them as well so you will find what you are looking for.
And how about bonuses? Buzzluck are offering a range of different bonuses for the different kinds of players. My favorite is of course the 350 Euro first deposit bonus, to be honest I’m not much of a casino player so a first deposit is where i draw the line.

A while ago a Pokeriot journalist managed to get hold of information about a large number of affiliates offering Betsson Rakeback even though Ongame obviously prohibit Rakeback. Betsson was allowed to answer the article and claimed that they were actively working to remove all rakeback offers on their affiliates sites.
It might seem like the kind of answer that any poker room would give on an article showing such obvious flaws but now a few months later most of the Rakeback offers have actually disappeared. There are still a few of the listed offers available but in most cases they are gone and in some the whole sites. We at Pokeriot can only applaud Betsson for taking care of the problem in a fast and professional way.
The question wether Ongames Policy is fair still stands though, even though Betsson are out of trouble this time. Is the Ongame Enviroment really Rakeback Free? Well, as long as poker rooms offer Revenue Share there will always be Rakeback in kind, it’s way to simple to start out as an affiliate and have your friends sign up through you, paying them a percent. If Ongame truly whishes to fight Rakeback, slapping fines on the rooms is not the answer, the answer is disabling Revenue share possibilites.
The truth is probably somewhere in between, rakeback is bad for the network in a lot of ways but not so bad that it would be worth it to remove rev-share. Like in most online games they just want to do enough to be able to say that there isn’t any cheating. They settle for saying we have a no-rakeback-policy so that they can attract bigger poker rooms that would lose money from smaller rakeback offering rooms.

Poker Office, a poker software that we have talked about a lot here on Pokeriot, has for a long time been the absolutely best poker tool that you can find. It’s also free if you sign up on one of their supporting poker rooms. The weekend they released the Poker Office 5 Open Beta so that all of us can get a sneak preview of the new software. We can soon expect the final version to be released.
What is new in PokerOffice 5?
One of the most important new features is support for Windows Vista, something that has been a major problem with previous versions.
A lot of new statistics. Poker Office has always been the tool to offer the most and best staistics on overlay (you can decide what to show directly on the poker table) and of course they are improving it even more in the new verision.
New Overlay. The overlay is completely new where you can customize several extra windows with the data that you want.
The Fish Finder. A completely new search function where you can search through the whole database for the Fish. You can select and set more than 200 variables to refine your search for the bad players.
Plugins. Poker Office 5 offers the possibility to create your own plugins and filters that you can use and share with others. This means that you can get custom statistics in all parts of the new version of Poker Office.
Faster. The new statistics engine is a LOT faster than the old one.
More filter options. The options for the filters have been expanded giving you the possibility to customize even more.
+ much more
