Big Slick - Poker Lingo
Big Slick is the Poker nickname for Ace and King in your pocket. It’s a very good hand but it can be hard to play and especially during the early rounds of a tournament. A common rookie mistake is overbetting the Big Slick in these moments and even more so if they hit a pair on the flop. One of the main reasons for this might be that the hand looks a bit better than it actually is, it’s the two highest cards in the game but if you don’t hit or if your opponent flops a better hand it’s crap. Don’t get this wrong a Big Slick is a really good hand and can give you a quick boost in any tournament just make sure you don’t overplay it.
